Democratic Town Committee To Hold Pre-Caucus Candidate Forum Sunday

Democratic State Convention will be June 13 and 14 at the DCU Center in Worcester.

Editor's Note: Press release from the Framingham Democratic Town Committee

The Framingham Democratic TownCommittee Sunday, Jan. 12 will hold a discussion and forum with the various Democratic candidates for state-wide constitutional office at the function room at the Framingham Green
Apartments, 136 Maynard Rd. from 7 to 9 p.m. Munchies and light snacks will be
provided.

All Democrats are welcome to join in on the discussion, which will feature an opportunity to meet several candidates for state-wide office as they address us with their issues of importance and try to gain support of delegates to the Democratic State Convention this summer.

In order for a candidate to be included in the Sept. 14, primary election ballot, the prospective candidate must have support of at least 15 percent of those in attendance at the StateDemocratic Convention. This year the Convention will be held on June 13 & 14, at the DCU Center in Worcester, which has recently undergone a $23 Million expansion and renovation.

Selection of delegates will take place in March at a Framingham Caucus.
This event will provide an excellent opportunity to socialize and have light conversation with the political leaders and candidates who will be present.

In addition to the program, there will be an election to fill a vacancy on the Committee. The position is open to any person who is registered as a Democrat in Framingham.

Each time the Town Democratic Committee meets, the members show their support for a local charity. Members are asked to bring a donation of imperishable food items for distribution to local residents in need. In addition, members are asked to bring food to contribute to light refreshments.
