Expect Delays Near Waushakum Street for Sewer Main Construction

“A” Street: The northern portion of "A" Street from the intersection of Concord Street to Winch Park Road is temporarily closed to through traffic while sewer main construction is in progress.  Construction activities are scheduled between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily.

Arthur Street: Sewer main construction activities will be underway at the southern end of Arthur Street.  While construction is in progress, traffic will be managed using a one lane alternating traffic management plan.  Construction activities are scheduled between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily.

Chouteau Avenue/LaSalle Avenue/Lake Road/Lakeview Avenue
Sewer main construction will continue on Chouteau Avenue between LaClede Avenue and Lake Road; while construction is in progress it will be necessary to detour local traffic around the work zone. Construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Mansfield Street/Everit Avenue/Pond Street - Updated
Water main construction will continue on Mansfield Street, Everit Avenue and Pond Street; while construction is in progress it will to detour traffic locally utilizing the side streets daily between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.

NEW -- North Concord Street: Construction crews will begin to install deep gravity sewer main at the intersection of “A” Street and Concord Street progressing across Concord Street bginning Sept. 9.  While construction is in progress, traffic will be managed using a one lane alternating traffic management plan. In order to maintain public safety, minimize adverse impacts on emergency response time, traffic flows and business in general, construction activities will be performed during the overnight hours between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday.

Prospect Street, Lillian Road and Lillian Road Ext. - Updated
Construction crews will continue to reconstructing the sidewalks on Prospect Street and perform roadway restoration activities on Lillian Road and Lillian Road Ext.  While construction is in progress traffic on Prospect Street will be managed utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management plan; Lillian Road and Lillian Road Ext. will be restricted to local traffic only.  Construction activities are scheduled to take place daily between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Waverly Street/Concord Street/Hollis Street - Updated
Water main and sewer main construction will continue on Waverly Street at the intersection of Concord Street and Hollis Street.  While construction is in progress traffic will be reduced to a single lane of travel through the work zone and it may be necessary to implement a detour around the work zone.  In order to maintain public safety, minimize adverse impacts on emergency response time, traffic flows and business in general, construction activities will be performed during the overnight hours between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday.

Department of Public Works Highway Division Projects

Winthrop Street/Wood Avenue Roadway Restoration
The Department of Public Works Highway Division will continue roadway reconstruction activities on Winthrop Street and Wood Avenue.  While construction activities are in progress, traffic will be detoured locally. Sidewalk Restoration – South Concord Street
The Department of Public Works Highway Division will continue to perform sidewalk restoration on the east side of Concord Street between Lincoln Street and Hartford Street.  While construction activities are in progress, there is a potential for lane shifts.  Please use caution when travelling in the area.  Construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.  If you have any questions or concerns about the work being performed on Pleasant Street, please feel free to contact the Department of Public Work’s Highway Division at (508) 532-6030.

NEW -- Waushakum Street:  Construction crews will begin sewer main construction activities on Waushakum Street.  While construction activities are in progress, Waushakum Street will be detoured to through traffic utilizing Arlington Street, Eames Street and Alexander Street.
