Final Paving of Prospect Street Scheduled This Week; Expect Detours

Framingham Department of Public Works issued its weekly update on road construction in town and where to expect delays and detours.

Colonial Drive: Sewer main and water main construction will continue on Colonial Drive.  While construction is in progress, traffic will be managed through the work zone utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management plan.  Construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. (Click Here For Map)

Concord Street (Gorman Road to Summer Street): Construction crews will continue to prepare the roadway surface for a pavement overlay, including casting adjustments.  Please use caution and expect delays when travelling in this area. It may be necessary to reduce traffic patterns through the work zones to a lane alternating traffic management plan.  Construction activities are schedule to take place daily between the hours of 7 am and 4 pm.  (Click Here For Map)

Concord Street/Howard Street/Waverly Street: Utility construction activities on Concord Street will restrict traffic to a single lane of travel in both the northbound and southbound lanes of Concord Street between Howard Street and Waverly Street. It is necessary to perform this work during the overnight hours to maintain public safety, minimize adverse impacts on emergency response time, traffic flows and business in general.  Construction activities are scheduled during the overnight hours of 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday.  (Click Here For Map)

Water main service installation will continue on Everit Avenue, Lawrence Street and Clinton Street between Grant Street and Bishop Street; while construction is in progress it will to detour traffic locally utilizing the side streets daily between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.  (Click Here For Map)

Prospect Street - Updated
Final paving of Prospect Street has been scheduled for the week of Oct. 22. While paving operations are in progress, Prospect Street will be restricted to local traffic only and temporarily detoured at Worcester Road; travel on Prospect Street will be restricted to one way travel southbound from Central Street exiting on Worcester Road.  Construction activities are scheduled to take place daily between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. (Click Here For Map)


Speen Street
: Deep gravity sewer main construction is in progress on Speen Street between Old Connecticut Path and Cochituate Road.  Due to the location of the work zone, it may be necessary to detour eastbound traffic on Speen Street to Leggatt McCall Connector Road, from Leggatte McCall Connector Road to Cochituate Road while construction is in progress.  Construction activities are schedule to take place daily between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. (Click Here For Map)


Arsenal Road Roadway Restoration
: The Department of Public Works Highway Division will begin roadway reconstruction activities on Arsenal Road.  While construction activities are in progress, traffic will be detoured locally. All construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Expect delays while traveling in this area.
