Framingham To Investigate If Stores Selling Tobacco to Minors

Under the rules and regulations, no person shall sell tobacco or nicotine delivery products or permit tobacco or nicotine delivery products to be sold to a minor nor give tobacco nicotine delivery products to a minor.

Framingham's Board of Health will begin compliance checks on the restriction of the sale of tobacco products and nicotine delivery products to 
minors, it announced Thursday, April 17.
 
Under the rules and regulations, no person shall sell tobacco or nicotine delivery products or permit tobacco or nicotine delivery products to be sold to a minor nor give tobacco nicotine delivery products to a minor.

Violators of the rules and regulations regarding the restriction of the sale of 
tobacco products and nicotine products will be the subject of fines; and may potentially have their sales permit suspended for multiple violations.

The Framingham Board of Health increased inspections are being made possible by a Regional Tobacco Collaborative Grant, according to a press release.
