Framingham/Worcester Commuter Rail Schedule Changes Start April 2

If you're a frequent passenger on the Framingham/Worcester Commuter Rail Line, some schedule changes are in your future.

Starting Monday, April 2, the Commuter Rail line will adjust its schedule due to the redevelopment project going on at Yawkey Station, according to a press release from the Massachusetts Bay Commuter Railroad Company (MBCR). 

The Framingham/Worcester line, which runs out of South Station, has a station in downtown Framingham.

According to the press release, the $13.5 million Yawkey construction is part of the Fenway Center mixed-use redevelopment project. The construction at Yawkey will require single track operations between South Station and Allston.

Once the work at Yawkey is finished, the new station will have two, full-length, accessible station platforms with pedestrian access to and from Beacon Street and Brookline Avenue. Commuter Rail trains will also make more than double the number of stops at Yawkey, the press release said.

Below is a list of the schedule changes for the Framingham/Worcester Line:

Inbound

• Train P502: Will depart Worcester/Union Station at 5:15 AM and arrive at South Station at 6:47 AM. Current departure is 5:40 AM and arrival at South Station is 7:08 AM
• Train P504: Will depart Worcester/Union Station at 5:55 AM and arrive in South Station at 7:36 AM. Current departure is 6:05 AM and arrival at South Station is 7:46 AM. 
• Train P506: Will depart Worcester/Union Station at 6:35 AM and arrive at South Station at 8:16 AM. Current departure is 6:30 AM and current arrival at South Station is 8:11 AM.
• Train P508: Will depart Worcester/Union Station at 7:00 AM and arrive at South Station at 8:28 AM. Current departure is 6:55 AM and current arrival at South Station is 8:23 AM.
• Train P510: Will depart Framingham at 7:55 AM and arrive at South Station at 8:51 AM. Current departure is 8:00 AM and current arrival at South Station is 8:56 AM.
• Train P512: Will depart Worcester/Union Station at 7:30 AM and arrive at South Station at 9:03 AM.
• Train P514: Will depart Framingham at 8:45 AM and arrive at South Station at 9:40 AM. Current departure is 8:40 AM and arrival at South Station is 9:35 AM.
• Train P518: Will depart Worcester/Union Station at 10:50 AM and arrive at South Station at 12:25 PM. Current departure is 10:30 AM and arrival at South Station is 12:05 PM.
• Train P524: Will depart Worcester/Union Station at 2:15 PM and arrive at South Station at 3:51 PM. Current departure is 2:05 PM and arrival at South Station is 3:35 PM.
• Train P526: Will depart Worcester/Union Station at 4:55 PM and arrive at South Station at 6:31 PM. Current departure is 4:30 PM and arrival at South Station is 6:05 PM.
• Train P528: Will depart Framingham at 6:15 PM and arrive at South Station at 7:05 PM. Current departure is 5:40 PM and arrival is 6:30 PM. 
• Train P530: Will depart Framingham at 6:28 PM and arrive at South Station at 7:17 PM. Current departure is 5:35 PM from Worcester/Union Station and arrival at South Station at 7:09 PM. The new schedule will originate at Framingham Station and will ONLY run to Framingham, West Natick, Natick, Wellesley Square, Wellesley Hills, Wellesley Farms, Back Bay, and South Station.
• Train P532: Will depart Worcester/Union Station at 6:15 PM and arrive at South Station at 7:53 PM. Current departure is at 6:43 PM at Framingham and arrival at South Station at 7:32 PM. The new schedule will orginate at Worcester/Union Station and will run through Worcester/Union Station, Grafton, Westborough, Southborough, Ashland, Framingham, West Natick, Natick, Wellesley Square, Wellesley Hills, Wellsley Farms, Auburndale, West Newton, Newtonville, Yawkey, Back Bay, and South Station.
• Train 534: Will depart Framingham at 7:42 PM and arrive at South Station at 8:31 PM. Current departure is 7: 45 PM and arrival at South Station is 8:34 PM.
• Train P536: Will depart Worcester/Union Station at 7:55 PM and arrival at South Station 9:11 PM. Current departure is 7:46 PM and arrival at South Station is 9:02 PM.
• Train 552: Will depart Worcester/Union Station at 9:10 AM and arrive at South Station at 10:45 AM. Current departure is 9:25 AM and arrival at South Station is 11:00 AM.
• Train P550: Will depart Framingham at 8:10 AM and arrive at South Station at 9:00 AM. Current departure is 8:15 AM and arrival at South Station is 9:05 AM.

Outbound

• Train P501: Will depart South Station at 4:05 AM and arrive at Worcester at 5:34 AM. Current departure is 4:00 AM and arrival at Worcester is 5:24 AM.   
• Train P505: Will depart South Station at 7:00 AM and arrive at Framingham at 7:39 AM. Current departure is 6:59 AM and arrival is 7:45 AM. The new schedule will run express and will ONLY include stops at South Station, Back Bay, Wellesley Hills, Wellsley Square, Natick, West Natick, and Framingham.   
• Train 507: Will depart South Station at 7:38 AM and arrive in Framingham at 8:25 AM. Current departure is 7:29 and arrival is 8:16 AM   
• Train 509: Will depart South Station at 9:05 AM and arrive in Worcester at 10:31 AM. Current departure is 8:50 AM and arrival is 10:16 AM.
• Train 511: Will depart South Station at 10:50 AM and arrive in Framingham at 11:47 AM. Current departure time is 11:00 AM and arrival is 11:57 AM.
• Train 513: Will depart South Station at 12:22 PM and arrive in Worcester at 1:53 PM. Current departure is 12:10 PM and arrival is 1:41 PM.
• Train 517: Will depart South Station at 3:05 PM and arrive in Worcester at 4:38 PM. Current departure is 2:40 PM and arrival is at 4:13 PM.
• Train 525: Will depart South Station at 5:10 PM and arrive in Framingham at 6:08 PM. Current departure is 5:15 PM and arrival is 6:13 PM.
• Train P527: Will depart South Station at 5:35 PM and arrive at Worcester/Union Station at 6:45 PM. There is no change in the departure time. Current arrival at Worcester is 7:13 PM. The new schedule will run express and will ONLY include stops at South Station, Back Bay, West Natick, Framingham, Ashland, Southborough, Westborough, Grafton, Worcester/Union Station.
• Train P529: Will depart South Station at 5:55 PM and arrive at Worcester/Union Station at 7:33 PM. Current departure time is 6:15 PM. There is no change in the arrival time. The new schedule will run local and include stops at South Station, Back Bay, Yawkey, Newtonville, West Newton, Auburndale, Wellesley Farms, Wellesley Hills, Wellesley Square, West Natick, Framingham, Ashland, Southborough, Westborough, Grafton, and Worcester/Union Station.
• Train 531: Will depart South Station at 6:32 PM and arrive in Framingham at 7:30 PM. Current departure is 6:30 PM and arrival is 7:28 PM.
• Train 533: Will depart South station at 7:18 PM and arrive in Worcester at 8:55 PM. Current departure is 7:15 PM and arrival is 8:52 PM.   
• Train 535: Will depart South Station at 8:35 PM and arrive in Worcester at 10:11 PM. Current departure is 8:20 PM and arrival is 9:56 PM   
• Train 553: Will depart South Station at 7:25 AM and arrive in Worcester at 8:54 AM. Current departure is 7:40 AM and arrival is 9:09 AM
• Train 565: Will depart South Station at 8:30 PM and arrive in Framingham at 9:21 PM. Current departure is 8:35 PM and arrival is 9:26 PM.  

New schedules will be available to download and print from the MBTA website and the information booth at South Station and Back Bay the afternoon of Wednesday, March 28th, 2012.
