Framingham resident Janet Leombruno recently attended the Republican National Convention in Tampa and shared her "Republican vacation" photos with Framingham Patch.

While not an official delegate, Leombruno is a member of the Massachusetts Republican Committee. She was elected as the committee woman for the Second Middlesex & Norfolk district. Her district includes her hometown of Framingham as well as six other communities.

Leombruno was on the floor when former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney was made the Republican nominee for president. 

One of her favorite speeches was former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice. Leombruno said she was "amazing" and used no "teleprompter."

Leombruno was shown in several television reports, including one by WCVB-TV reporter Janet Wu; and featured in a photo in USA Today newspaper, although the national publication got her hometown wrong. It published she was from "Framington" not Framingham.

She met media personalities like Chuck Todd, the chief White House correspondent for NBC News, Geraldo Rivera and local radio personality Howie Carr. Leombruno even reserve the tables and interviewed Carr.

Leombruno said there was media from around the world, everywhere from the the United Kingdom to Russia to Japan.

She also talked with had her photo taken with former New York City Mayor Rudy Guliani, former Massachusetts Governor William Weld and Sen. Orrin Hatch.

Whenever she could, she had her new "friends" hold a Brown bumper sticker.
