Movies Return to Bowditch

Last year, Framingham Parks & Recreation screened The Lion King. This month another Disney film will be screened for free at Bowditch Field.

The Framingham Parks & Recreation Department and WROR radio station will present Disney's Brave for a free screening at Bowditch Field on Monday, July 22. Gates open at 7 p.m. Movie will start at sundown.

Bring a blanket. Pack a dinner and snacks or visit the Bowditch Field concession stand for some munchies. Chair are welcome too.

The free event is sponsored by WROR. The station will provide pre-movie entertainment with trivia  and beach blanket bingo games, said Framingham Recreation Superintendent Trisha Powell.

Last year, Framingham Parks & Recreation screened Disney's The Lion King at Bowditch Field, to much success.

This year, Powell said the department will show a free movie in July and another free movie in August.
