No Special Storm Collection; Curbside Brush Collection Dec. 5-10

Framingham will NOT do a special debris/brush collection like it did for Hurricane Irene, instead there is a regularly scheduled curbside brush collection for residents the week of Dec. 5-10

Unlike with Hurricane Irene, Framingham will not do a , Framingham Public Works told Tuesday.

Residents can either drop off branches/brush/debris at the town's or wait until the regularly scheduled curbside brush collection Dec. 5-10.

will collect yard waste and brush only on designated weeks and only on your regular trash collection day. A separate collection vehicle is dispatched to collect only yard waste and brush during those designated collection weeks.

Leaf collection is scheduled weekly, starting this week through Dec. 2.

Only yard waste contained in approved, specially designed paper biodegradable leaf bags or in covered 35-gallon plastic or metal barrels clearly marked “YARD WASTE” will be collected, according to DPW's Solid Waste Division's website.

No barrel or biodegradable leaf bag may weigh more than 40 pounds. Yard waste in plastic bags will NOT be collected. 

Brush must be tied and bundled in lengths less than 4 feet and weigh 40 pounds or less.  Any yard waste or brush not conforming to these guidelines will not be collected and will be left at the curb.

If you can't wait, and want to drop off tree branches etc before the Dec. 5-10 curbside collection Framingham's  is open seasonally and only Fridays and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 3 p.m and Sundays 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
