Overnight Construction on Waverly, Mellen and Saucier

Here is an update on road projects in town, thanks to the Framingham Department of Public Works:

Anzio Road: Construction crews will be performing water and sewer service work.  Construction activities will restrict normal traffic patterns to a one lane alternating traffic pattern through the work zone, please use caution while travelling in this area.  Construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Edgell Road: While deep gravity sewer main construction is in progress, southbound traffic on Edgell Road will be detoured from Edgell Road to Belknap Road. 

Automobile traffic will be routed from Belknap Road to Grove Street and from Grove Street to Vernon Street, and back onto Edgell Road.

Due to height restrictions truck traffic will be routed from Belknap Road to Pleasant Street and from Pleasant Street to Vernon Street.  Emergency vehicles, oversized tractor trailers and school buses will proceed through the work zone.  Construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Mellen Street, Saucier Street and Waverly Street: In order to maintain public safety, minimize adverse impacts on emergency response time, traffic flows and business in general; the contractor will begin overnight utility construction at the intersections of Mellen Street and Waverly Street, and Saucier Street and Waverly Street.  Construction activities are scheduled between 8 p.m.. and 5 a.m.

North Concord Street: Fiber optic communication line installation, sidewalk restoration and sewer main adjustments will occur on Concord Street north of Cochituate Road (Route 30) and south of School Street.  An additional construction crew is installing fiber optic communication line between Worcester Road (Route 9) and Cochituate Road (Route 30). Construction activities may restrict normal traffic patterns to a one lane alternating traffic pattern, please use caution while travelling in this area.  Construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.


Police detail officers will be present to ensure safe vehicular and pedestrian travel.
