Roberto Santamaria Hired as Framingham's Deputy Director of Public Health

Framingham new Deputy Health Director authored the Commonwealth's first body art training module for public health professionals, while employed as the Director of Public Health in Everett.

The Town of Framingham has hired Roberto Santamaria as its new Deputy Director of Public Health.

Santamaria, who started his employment with the town on Nov. 13, is a highly credentialed professional with a wealth of education and experience in the field of public health, said Assistant Town Manager Jennifer Thompson.

Santamaria comes to Framingham, after serving as the Director of Public Health for the City Of Everett. 

During his tenure in Everett, Santamaria oversaw all aspects of the Public Health Division including compliance with state sanitary, housing and food codes. He also served as the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for Everett.

Santamaria authored the Commonwealth's first body art training module for public health professionals. 

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Santamaria also holds a Masters Degree in Public Health from Boston University.
