Selectmen Voted Unanimously to Ask DA To Investigate Building Commissioner
Reacting to an investigation by WBZ-TV on the work habits and ethics of building commissioner Michael Foley, Selectmen voted Tuesday night Selectmen voted to ask the district attorney to investigate.
Selectmen unanimiously voted to ask the to investigate allegations raised in a report by WBZ-TV by Framingham Building Commissioner Mike Foley.
Selectmen had scheduled a closed door meeting Tuesday night to discuss Foley and the allegation raised by WBZ-TV investigative reporter Joe Shootsleeve in his I-team report.
WBZ-TV aired the investigation the final night of special town meeting on Tuesday. Wednesday, Foley called in sick to work. On Friday, Foley was placed on paid administrative leave.
Selectmen Chair Jason Smith announced the 5-0-0 vote following an executive session (closed door) meeting.

Smith read a statement. "The Board of Selectmen take these allegations very seriously" and then added there would be no further comment at this time.
In the WBZ-TV report, Foley was accused of of golfing while on the clock, working 4-day work weeks, giving favors to some businesses and inflating his mileage reports.
