Spilka Hosting Senior Health and Wellness Fair

This annual event provides a forum for local seniors to learn more about ways they can continue to lead a healthy and active lifestyle and gives them the opportunity to engage in lively discussions about the programs and issues important to their everyday lives.
Throughout the course of the day, seniors will be able to participate in a variety of workshops and presentations aimed at providing important information on senior health programs, benefits, and wellness activities. The Fair will also include a continental breakfast, a hot lunch, and a number of health screenings – all free of charge!

Last year, nearly 300 area seniors attended and space fills up quickly.
Those interested in attending should reserve a space by Saturday, Sept 15 by calling Puja Mehta, the senator’s District and Constituent Services Director at 617-722-1640.

Workshops include:
- Acupuncture for Aches and Pains
- Fall Prevention
- Health and Wellness Bingo
- Creating Concrete Leaf Sculptures
- Medicaid
- New Trends in Retirement Jobs
- Know Your Homecare Provider
There will also be free health screening, free continental breakfast and hot lunch, vendor booths, exhibits local senior organizations and more
