State Holding Design Hearing Tonight on $4.9M Route 9 Bridge Project

The hearing's purpose is to provide the public with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the proposed Route 9 over Reservoir outlet bridge project in Framingham.

MASS DOT will hold a design public hearing at the in the Ablondi Room at 7 tonight (July 19) to discuss the proposed Route 9 over Reservoir outlet bridge project in Framingham. 

The purpose of the hearing is to provide the public with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the proposed accelerated bridge project.  The project is scheduled to start in 2013. The estimated construction cost is $4.9 million.

The proposed project consists of replacing the superstructure, abutment rehabilitation and utility relocation for the Route 9 Worcester Road Bridge over the Reservoir outlet connecting the Foss Reservoir No. 3 to the Stearnes Reservoir No. 1.

The construction duration will be accelerated and the bridge superstructure replacement work will occur during the weekends.

Traffic Management procedures and construction duration will be presented at the hearing.

The meeting is expected to last about 30 minutes.
