Update on Construction Projects In Framingham

Framingham Public Works division has issued an alert for state and local road construction and bridge work.

Arthur Street: Construction crews will continue to install drainage on Arthur Street between Bishop Street and Willis Street.  Traffic will be managed utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management plan through the work zone. Construction activities are scheduled to take place daily between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Use caution and expect delays while traveling in this area. 

Chouteau Avenue Area: Construction crews will continue roadway reconstruction activities on Chouteau Avenue, Lasalle Avenue, Lakeview Road, Laclede Avenue and Lake Road. Construction activities are scheduled to take place daily between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.Use caution and expect delays while traveling in this area.

North Concord Street Detour: To facilitate the deep gravity sewer main construction and pipe jacking underneath the Sudbury River Levy, a detour for all northbound traffic on Concord Street in Saxonville is currently in place. All northbound traffic traveling on Concord Street will be detoured from Concord Street to School Street, from School Street to Cottage Street, from Cottage Street to Danforth Street and from Danforth Street back onto Concord Street; southbound traffic traveling on Concord Street will continue south on Concord Street. Click here for detour map.

Edgell Road: Roadway construction activities continue on Edgell Road at the intersection of Edgell Road and Auburn Street, as well as the intersection of Edgell Road and Oak Street.  Sidewalk construction activities will continue on the western side of Edgell Road.  Traffic will be managed through the work zone utilizing lane shifts on Edgell Road and a potential detour of Auburn Street. Construction activities are scheduled between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. Use caution and expect delays while traveling in the area.

Wickford Road Bridge: Wickford Road Bridge is temporarily closed for rehabilitation by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT). Due to material delays, there is a potential that the bridge may not be open until in the early Spring of 2014. Expect delays while traveling in this area. Click here for detour map.

Department of Public Works Highway Department Projects

Lincoln Street: Construction crews will be installing roadway markings, and performing curbing work and sidewalk construction on Lincoln Street. Construction activities are scheduled between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Please use caution and expect delays while traveling in this area.

Pleasant Street Area: The Highway Department will be performing roadway structure adjustments and curbing work in the Pleasant Street area. Construction activities are scheduled between to take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. Use caution and expect delays while traveling in this area.

South Concord Street: Construction crews will continue to remove sidewalk panels and install communications conduit on Concord Street between Hartford Street and Lincoln Street. Construction activities are scheduled to take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Use caution and expect delays while traveling in this area.

and Technical Services Department Projects

Carter Drive: Construction crews will continue to install communications conduit on Carter Drive. Traffic will be managed though the work zone utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management plan. Construction activities are schedule to take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily.
