During Friday's press conference Framingham Selectmen Chair Charlie Sisitsky jokingly asked the Lt. Governor "Is there any more money left in the pot?"
- If there was money left in the pot, where would you like Framingham to spend it? Tell us in the comments.
Earlier in the week, the state announced it has reached an historic agreement with CSX to own and control the tracks along the Framingham/Worcester line.
The Lt. Governor said this means that the Commonwealth, and not CSX, can limit the amount of time the railroad gates are down during peak commuting hours. It also means more service along the Framingham/Worcester Commuter Rail line.
- And do you agree that all this news last week, is good news for downtown Framingham? If not, what would you like to see be the next step(s) to improve downtown? Tell us in the comments.
Framingham Town Manager Bob Halpin suggested the three money awards last week could help Framingham move its #38 best community ranking nationally to #28 or #18.
