Construction Continues on A, Concord and Waverly Streets

issues its weekly update on construction projects and where to expect delays and detours.

“A” Street: The northern portion of "A" Street from the intersection of Concord Street to Winch Park Road is temporarily closed to through traffic while sewer main construction is in progress.  Construction activities are scheduled between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily.  "A" Street Active Work Zone Map

Arthur Street/Mansfield Street/Everit Avenue - Updated
Water main construction will continue on Arthur Street, Mansfield Street and Everit Avenue; while construction is in progress it will to detour traffic locally utilizing the side streets daily between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.  Arthur St./Mansfield St./Everit Ave. Active Work Zone Map

Chouteau Avenue/LaSalle Avenue/Lake Road/Lakeview Avenue
Sewer main construction will continue on Chouteau Avenue between LaClede Avenue and Lake Road; while construction is in progress it will be necessary to detour local traffic around the work zone. Nob Hill Road - Updated Construction crews will perform sewer main construction on Nob Hill Road; while construction is in progress, traffic will managed using a one lane alternating traffic management plan.  Construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Nob Hill Road Active Work Zone Map

Prospect Street, Lillian Road and Lillian Road Ext. - Updated
Construction crews will begin reconstructing the sidewalks on Prospect Street and roadway reclamation activities on Lillian Road and Lillian Road Ext.  While construction is in progress traffic on Prospect Street will be managed utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management plan; Lillian Road and Lillian Road Ext. will be restricted to local traffic only.  Construction activities are scheduled to take place daily between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Prospect St./Lillian Rd./Lillian Road Ext. Waverly Street/Concord Street/Hollis Street - Updated
Water main and sewer main construction will continue on Waverly Street at the intersection of Concord Street and Hollis Street.  While construction is in progress traffic will be reduced to a single lane of travel through the work zone and it may be necessary to implement a detour around the work zone.  In order to maintain public safety, minimize adverse impacts on emergency response time, traffic flows and business in general, construction activities will be performed during the overnight hours between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. Department of Public Works Highway Division Roadway Rehabilitation Projects:

Winthrop Street/Wood Avenue Roadway Restoration: The Department of Public Works Highway Division will continue roadway reconstruction activities on Winthrop Street and Wood Avenue.  While construction activities are in progress, traffic will be detoured locally. All construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Expect delays while traveling in this area.  If you have any questions or concerns about the work being performed on Winthrop Street or Wood Avenue, please feel free to contact the Department of Public Work’s Highway Division at (508) 532-6030.

Sidewalk Restoration – South Concord Street: The Department of Public Works Highway Division will continue to perform sidewalk restoration on the east side of Concord Street between Lincoln Street and Hartford Street.  While construction activities are in progress, there is a potential for lane shifts.  Please use caution when travelling in the area.  Construction activities are scheduled to take place between 70 a.m. and 4 p.m.
