Clean it up
It was lovely today!
I was so happy to get out for a bit.
Most of the seeds in the greenhouse have sprouted and I'm delighted! They're still really small but at least they're alive.
Meanwhile I took some time today to clean up the woody herbs in my garden. I leave them alone in the fall, to help insulate the living root, but now is the time to cut away the dead woody branches so that the new growth will have an easier time of it. I cut back the old oregano, thyme, sage, mint, marjoram, and rosemary. Hopefully it'll all grown back fresh!
I also cut back the raspberry canes that I hadn't got to last fall.
By the way, I needed some chives tonight for a recipe and was delighted that I was able to snip some fresh new chive shoots after pulling back the old dead chives!
