37 Framingham School Employees, With 800-Plus Years of Service, Retiring

Dunning Elementary school teacher Linda Bebeau, who is leaving the district after 39 years of service, said she was educated in the Framingham Public Schools too.

The Framingham School Committee held a reception for employees retiring from the Framingham Public Schools Tuesday night.

Framingham School Committee Chair Beverly Hugo said the 37 employees have more than 800 years of service.

Superintendent of Schools Stacy Scott read all the names, but less than a dozen employees were in attendance at the reception and to pick up their certificate.

"You are the backbone" of the system, said Scott. He thanked them for their effort and time.

School Committee member Andy Limeri said he estimated in total combined they had directly affected between 4,000 and 10,000 students.

Dunning Elementary school teacher Linda Bebeau said she was educated in the Framingham Public Schools. She was the most senior retiree with 39 years of service.

McCarthy Elementary has three teachers retiring, who combined for a total of 100 years of service. Plus the elementary school's office manager Christine Chesmore is retiring after 31 years of service.
