Five Framingham High alumni are a part of the UMass Minuteman Marching Band, who are one of just 11 bands marching in the annual Thanksgiving tradition.

Thursday morning, turn on your television and you might catch a glimpse of the UMass Minuteman Marching Band in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Five Framingham High alumni are now a part of the UMass Minuteman Marching Band. They are Dan Carlson, Sean O'Leary, Courtney Myrglot, Tyler Ramsay and Evan Sheinhait.

While the rest of us are likely sleeping, at 3:15 a.m. these Framingham alumni and fellow marching band members will need to do a rehearsal at Macy's.

The Framingham five and 389 other band members from UMass Minuteman Marching Band will parade past an estimated 3.5 million will watch from New York City's streets and 50 million viewers will watch the parade at home.

UMass is one of just 11 marching bands in the parade and the only one from New England. The UMass band also is one of only two college bands in the Thanksgiving parade.
