Our daily column, 5 Things You Need to Know Today, will help you to get your day started and offer you some fodder for water cooler conversation.

1. Freshman arrived on campus at yesterday, Sept 1. They will be the class of 2016.

2. Framingham State played its first football game of the season yesterday afternoon. The Endicott Gulls capitalized on seven turnovers and used thirty-four unanswered points to defeat the Framingham State University Rams, 34-7. The Rams got off to an early lead thanks to a 12-yard touchdown reception by senior wide-receiver Alex Avery of Milford. However, it was the lone bright-spot for the Rams on the day, as seven costly turnover and injuries spoiled the Rams home opener at Maple Field.
