5 Things You Need To Know Today: Sept. 24 [VIDEO]

1. Framingham School Committee is scheduled to meet tonight at 7:30 in the King Building. On the agenda is an update on what projects buildings & grounds completed during the summer, review of the latest MCAS results and a financial update 

2. NSTAR will be pruning on Angelica Drive today.

3. More than 200 readers have re-posted on to their Facebook page our report on a Framingham Pack that plans to ignore the national Boy Scouts' anti-gay policy.

On Saturday, Framingham Patch reported that more than half of the parents of Cub Scout Pack 12, based out of Plymouth Church under Pack Leader Jim Been, sent a letter to the executive director of Knox Trail Council of Boy Scouts, based in Framingham, stating they have and will continue to ignore the anti-gay policy of Boy Scouts of America.

4. Edwards Church hosts family yoga at 3:30 p.m. Bring the whole family for a class that includes postures, breathing techniques and meditation. Led by instructor Eve Costarelli, the suggested donation is $12-$15.

5. Main Framingham Library will host a free screening of the movie In Transition 2.0 at 7 p.m.  The movie is an inspirational tale of the Transition movement, gathering stories from around the world of ordinary people doing extraordinary things. It features communities growing food, localizing their economies and setting up community power stations. It's a story of hope, ingenuity and the power of growing vegetables in unexpected places. Members of Transition Framingham will be on hand following the screening to answer questions.
