Barbieri Elementary Students Celebrate Spain, Unveil Mosaic Creation

A 9'x5' mosaic piece was unveiled during Multicultural Night in Framingham.

Barbieri Elementary School celebrated Multicultural Night recently, bringing a variety of demonstrations to the school and unveiling a new piece of artwork in the process.

The evening included a celebration of Spain with dancing, food, live music by El Arte Flamenco and more. Each Barbieri student was represented during an art show as their creations were displayed on the school walls.

The art theme continued as a 9' x 5' mosaic art piece was unveiled. The mosaic piece was created specifically for the school thanks to Jeannette Brossart, who helped the students as a part of the artist in residence program.

The mosaic was funded through the support of a variety of Framingham organizations.

The Framingham Education Foundation, the Framingham Cultural Council, a large agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, Target Corporation and the Barbieri Elementary School PTO each contributed to the project.
