has moved the start time for three of the town's elementary schools, a few minutes, to 9:15 a.m.
Brophy, Hemenway and Potter Road elementary schools will now begin their day at 9:15 a.m. and end their day at 3:15 p.m.
Although no reason why was mentioned in a letter that went out to parents this week, it is likely due to transportation issues.
For example, Brophy elementary students get their bus after a bus has completed both a run at the high school and one at McCarthy Elementary School. Several times last year, the buses were late to pick up students in the morning and late getting to Brophy Elementary to take the students home.
was 9:05 a.m. to 3:05 p.m. last year
and was 9:10 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. last year.
