Framingham High To Stage Beauty & The Beast in May

Framingham High School's Drama Company will bring Disney's Beauty and the Beast to the stage next month.

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is the classic take of Belle, a young woman who loves to read, and a Beast, who is really a young prince trapped in a spell placed by an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

Lindsay Reamer has the role of Belle with Zach Colten as the Beast.

Niklas Peschke portrays Gaston and Erinn Harding is Mrs. Potts.

 John Llewellyn is Lumiere, Jackson Cote is Cogsworth and Katie Russo is Madame de la Grand Bouche.

On Thursday and Saturday, Seth Wulf will play Lefou and on Friday and Sunday, Eli Bondar will have the role.

Nicholas Jobin will portray Chip on Thursday and Saturday and Jake Henry will have the part on Friday and Sunday.

Babette on Thursday and Saturday, will be Maura Sticco-Ivins and on 
Friday and Sunday Madison Kornbliet will have the part.

Matt Costa has the role of Maurice and Monsieur D’Arque is portrayed by Colin Tonkiss.

Cast as the Silly Girls were Meghan Cotoni, Genna Schindel and Amanda Wade.

More than 75 students are part of the cast.

Framingham High will stage four shows - Thursday, May 8 at 7, Friday, May 9 at 7, Saturday, May 10 at 7 and Sunday, May 11 at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at www.showtix4u.com 

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast features the animated film’s Academy Award®-winning score with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by the late Howard Ashman, with additional songs with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Tim Rice. The book is written by Linda Woolverton.

Framingham High's production is directed by Chris Brindley and produced by Donna Wresinski. Music direction by Dan Moore and choreography by Teri Shea. Katerina Kounadis is the assistant director/dance captain.
