Framingham Rotary Club Awards $45,000 in Scholarships to 10 MetroWest Students

During the last decade the Framingham Rotary Club has granted scholarships worth more than $450,000 to 100 students.

The Framingham Rotary Club awarded ten $4,500 scholarships to MetroWest high school seniorsat the club’s annual scholarship awards luncheon at 
Ken’s Steakhouse, earlier this month.

The scholarships will be used at institutions of higher education to which the students have been admitted.


Scholarship winners were:
  • Samuel Jay Slater, Framingham High
  • Uchechi Judith Nna, Framingham High
  • Noelia Rosa Contreras, Keefe technical School
  • Maxine Carmil Colon, Keefe Tech 
  • Joann Marie Morrison, Keefe Tech
  • Natalia Santos Torres, Keefe Tech 
  • Ashley Karen Windheuser, Hopkinton High
  • Brennan Lilliana Lavoie, Hopkinton High 
  • Marissa Lynn Gross, Hopkinton High
  • Cody James Pennypacker, Holliston High

In addition, two of the winners -- Maxine Carmil Colon and Joann Marie Morrison -- are committed to Framingham State University and will split a $5,000 partnership donation from the University, bringing their scholarship award to $7,000.
