Framingham Public Schools announces its partnership with K12 Insight, a Virginia-based independent technology and communications firm.

Editor's Note: No cost of the contract was included in the press release from the Framingham Public Schools below:

Building on its commitment to engage the community in ongoing district  discussions, Framingham Public Schools announces its partnership with K12 Insight, a Virginia-based independent technology and communications firm which works with hundreds of public school districts nationwide to develop strategic communication initiatives that allow every voice
to be heard.

"This partnership with K12 Insight perfectly aligns with our goal of providing a healthy workplace for both students and adults," said Framingham Superintendent Stacy L. Scott. "This helps us show all our stakeholders that we’re actively listening to their issues and concerns — and that we have the capacity to respond to that feedback."
As part of building ongoing listening channels, the district also plans to launch surveys asking students about teacher performance, and asking parents and staff about how well their schools are doing. Our survey on school calendar issues will be our first survey.

In addition, Scott wants to ensure that teachers and staff know their voices count. "
My philosophy is that if the district can learn to hear better and get ahead of issues, we will be able to turn Framingham into a more collaborative district," said Scott.

The district will be launching a Your Voice page on its website, displaying critical details of conversations between district leadership and key stakeholders. A tangible archive of district surveys, conversations and survey results will be available for review on this page. Residents may also register their email addresses through Your Voice in order to be invited to future
surveys.

"We strive to be transparent, engaging with every parent, teacher, staff member, student and resident," said Scott. "We look forward to hearing from all our stakeholders, as this ongoing dialogue helps us best achieve our mission of educating each student to learn and live productively as a critically thinking, responsible citizen in a free, multi-cultural society."
