Friday is Opening Night for Shrek the Musical in Framingham

The Performing Arts Center of MetroWest will stage Shrek the Musical, book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire and Music by Jeanine Tesori, featuring a cast of students in grades 3-12 from the MetroWest area this weekend on Friday, June 6 and Saturday, June 7 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, June 8 at 3 pm.
This musical is suitable for all ages (rated PG). For those who have never seen the movie, Shrek, a grouchy but loveable large, green Ogre, and Donkey, his excitable talking friend, are hired by Lord Farquad to rescue Princess Fiona. Shrek falls in love with Fiona but does not believe he has a chance with
the Princess.
Shows will take place at the Dennison Memorial Hall at the Boston Church of Christ, 214 Concord St. in Framingham.
