McCarthy Elementary staged two shows of the original musical comedy Save My Ups!, written and directed by third grade teacher James Parr.

Almost 125 third, fourth and fifth grade students participated in H.A.A.M. (Hilarious Acting at McCarthy), an after-school drama program.

This year's show, written and directed by McCarthy third grade teacher James Parr, centered around a coach of a Framingham-based baseball team that didn't want to lose.

Sure the team never lost a game, but they played teams likes the patients at the local hospital and the seniors at the Callahan Center.

Unhappy about always winning, the team tells the coach they need to lose to have fun. They go in search of their own "Charlie Brown."

The students also performed a third show for classmates at their elementary school.
