Marian Mainstagers Moving On To Semifinals of Drama Festival

Marian High students Laura Cantwell, Sami Hansen, Ken Paulson and Tyler Sparling earned acting awards.

The Marian High School Mainstagers are moving on to the semifinal round of the 2014 Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild's Drama Festival.

The Mainstagers performed Anatomy of Gray by Jim Leonard, last weekend. The play, which is set in Indiana during the late 1800's, deals with death, loss, love, and healing in a unique coming of age story.

Marian competed against: Scituate, Mansfield, Wilmington, Attleboro, Norwood and Taunton high schools as well as Rising Tide Charter Public School.

There are 15 Marian High students in the cast and 26 students in the crew.

Mainstagers Laura Cantwell, Sami Hansen, Ken Paulson and Tyler Sparling earned acting awards.

Marian High also earned awards for - Set Design & Execution, Props Design & Execution, Costume Design & Execution and Set Decorating.

The Mainstagers will compete in the semifinal round on March 15 at Sharon High School at 4 p.m.
