Police, Fire Respond to "Unusual Odor" at Stapleton Elementary School

Students and staff at Stapleton Elementary School spent 75 minutes outside after an "unusual odor" was detected at the Framingham school.

Framingham Police and Framingham Fire were called to Stapleton Elementary school Thursday morning, May 8 after an "unusual odor" was detected in one area of the building, said Principal Kim Taylor.

After the odor was detected, the fire alarm was pulled and the building was evacuated.

Police and Fire did an investigation, including using meters to determine any issues, and "found nothing unsafe," said Taylor.

Students and staff were outside the school for about "75 minutes" on Thursday.
