Scott Appoints Hemenway Principal as Administrator of King School
For the 2014-2015 school year, Lucia Laguarda will serve as the Principal for Hemenway and the King Building.
The following is a press release from the Framingham Public Schools:
Dr. Stacy L. Scott, Superintendent of Schools, has appointed Lucia Laguarda as the Administrator for the King School for the 2014-2015 school year.
For the 2014-2015 school year, Ms. Laguarda will serve as the Principal for Hemenway and the King Building.
Hemenway Vice Principal Liz Simons will provide additional support to Principal Laguarda next school year.
Since 2010, Ms. Laguarda has served as the Principal at Hemenway Elementary School. Prior to joining Framingham, Ms. Laguarda was a principal for seven years in the Lawndale Elementary School District of Lawndale, California.
“Ms. Laguarda will carry forward the District vision for an effective elementary program as well as developing our new STEAM initiative at King. I have full confidence in Ms. Laguarda’s administrative experience to successfully launch
and maintain this new program," said Scott.
Principal Laguarda will begin meeting with interested candidates for the Kindergarten and other support openings by early February.
