Boston Magazine looked at scores, school spending and more to make its 2013 rankings.

Framingham's schools did better than neighboring Marlborough but behind Natick in the Boston Magazine’s 2013 Best Schools in Boston list.

Framingham is ranked 109th out of 147 school districts in the latest list, which looks at data released by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Statistics examined include student-to-teacher ratio, average class size, spending per pupil and results on the SAT and MCAS.

The bottom six were Boston, Brockton. Lynn, Everett, Chelsea with Lawrence last.

The top five were Dover, Sherborn, Lexington, Carlisle and Boxborough.

Framingham's neighboring communities include Sudbury at #16, Wayland at #9, Southborough at #30, Natick at #54, Ashland at #68 and Marlborough at #126.
