SLIDESHOW: Parents, Students Meet New Leadership Team at Stapleton Elementary

Framingham Superintendent: The intention is to have the new permanent Stapleton principal and vice principal by the end of the year.

The newly-appointed Interim Principal and Assistant Principal at Stapleton Elementary School met with parents and students Thursday afternoon.

In March, Framingham Superintendent of Schools Stacy Scott appointed Dunning Elementary School Principal Kimberly Taylor as interim principal at Stapleton Elementary School for the rest of the 2013-14 school year, after former Stapleton Elementary Principal Joseph Smith resigned. Smith started at Stapleton at the beginning of this school year. He was placed on administrative leave in March.

Taylor will be principal at both elementary schools. Taylor has been principal at Dunning since 2009 and is principal of the district's only level 1 school.

Paul Lamoureaux was appointed the interim Assistant Principal for Stapleton Elementary School and started his new job on April 2. Lamoureaux is a retired building administrator from Arlington. During his career, he served as a middle school principal for 20 years and an elementary principal for a decade.

Lamoureaux will be at Stapleton Elementary School on a daily basis assisting Taylor until the end of the school year.

The intention is to have the new permanent Stapleton principal and vice principal by the end of the year, said Scott. A search committee is expected to be formed and start the process this month.
