Whiz Kid: Andrew Draper

Framingham High School senior Andrew Draper is this week's Framingham Patch Whiz Kid, for being named one of Framingham High's students of the month in October.

Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: Andrew Draper is a student, who is well deserving of the honor of Student of the Month. Aside from being an excellent student, Andrew is a leader in the community. His goals to impact his community for good demonstrate his maturity.

He is the president of the Framingham High School Environmental Club, often organizing clean-up and recycling events for the town.

Andrew also spent a week (February vacation) in New Orleans rebuilding houses destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.

In addition to these community service activities, Andrew was a student volunteer at this year's Framingham High School Open House.

He is a member of the Ashland Explorers, a program for future firefighters. Through his involvement in Ashland Explorers, Andrew has done numerous good deeds including hanging holiday lights around town.

In addition to his volunteer work, Andrew currently works at Landry's Bicycles, a job he earned after completing an apprentiship there.

Within the school walls, Andrew is a member of the drum line and well respected amongst his peers.
