Brothers Jack, Eric and Sam Hendler of Jack's Abby Brewing in Framingham have grown the business dramatically in less than three years, and won regional and national awards along the way.

Founded in January 2011 by the  three brothers, Jack's Abby Brewing was awarded the Small Business of the Year Award by the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce Thursday night at its 118th Annual meeting and Awards Gala at the Sheraton Hotel.

Brothers Jack, Eric and Sam Hendler have grown the business dramatically in less than three years and have won several regional and national awards along the way.

Earlier this year, the Framingham-based company announced it was expanding.

The Chamber's award is traditionally given to recognize the important  contributions made by small businesses to the creation of new jobs and economic opportunities, as well as community involvement in MetroWest.

Jack's Abby Brewing has developed a strong following throughout MetroWest, the state and New England and have grown to 10 full-time employees.

Jack’s Abby won the people’s choice award for Best Beverage at the 2013 Taste of MetroWest.

The Brewing company is also community minding hosting fundraisers for various organization including the Framingham Library Foundation.

The name, Jack’s Abby Brewing, pays homage to co-founder Jack Hendler’s wife, Abby, while evoking the tradition of monastic groups in Europe who create handcrafted beers in their abbeys.

The brothers are inspired by the tradition of craft brewing using quality local ingredients, mindful labor and great recipes to create delicious, authentic beer.

The company offers tours and tastings.
