3 Marian Runners Named to Catholic Conference League All-Stars

Marian runners Nick Seymour, Megan Bubello and Declan Walsh named to the Conference All-Star team.

Marian High's Cross-Country teams had three runners named to the Catholic Conference League's All-Star team, said head coach Chris Collins.

"The first was a no-brainer, winner of the league meet, and a runner likely to move to all-states Nick Seymour, said Collins. Seymour is a senior captain of the boys cross-country team.

The second all-star was "freshman Declan Walsh, who placed 15th at the league meet, and who has made dramatic improvements throughout the season," said Collins. Walsh started out the season as ninth best freshman and finished, as the third best freshman in the league.

"Sophomore workhorse Megan Bubello, who has been the pillar of the the girls squad, but had to work her way through several injuries the past few weeks" was the lone girl to make the league all-star team, said Collins. "After two weeks of not running (biking, swimming) her 17th place result at the CCL league meet is all the more impressive."
