Annually, the Dennis Moran Most Valuable Person award is presented to a Framingham High School girls hockey player, who epitomizes everything that Coach Dennis Moran represented.
The 2014 Dennis Moran MVP Award was presented to Ashley Castriotta.
Castriotta demonstrates a tireless work ethic, a commitment to excellence and undying will to succeed.
She put forth the maximum effort in the face of adversity and possessed a “can do” attitude on and off the ice.
Dennis Moran coached in the Flyers Youth program for years and even accepted the responsibility of coaching the first ever Framingham High School girls’ ice hockey team.
As he was instrumental in starting the girls hockey program, the award recognizes a player that closely matches his dedication and work ethic.
