Flyers Boys Track Finishes Third in State Team Pentathlon

Senior captain Emmanuel Kalamu finished third overall in the individual pentathlon.

The Framingham high boys track team competed in the state's team pentathlon Friday at the Reggie Lewis track in Boston and finished third. In a team pentathlon, 5 individuals each participate in one event.

Four Flyers participated in the individual pentathlon. Senior captain Emmanuel Kalamu finished third overall, said head coach Chris Collins. 

Juniors Tiago Torres and David Welch finished fifth and sixth, respectively.

In the Open Holiday Track Meet, sophomore Nick Benoit (38.99) and senior George Atupe,  finished 9th and 16th respectively in a field of 123 runners in the 300-meter event.

The two also led the 4x200 relay to a seventh place finish overall, said Framingham High boys track head coach Collins.
