Flyers Shutout Brookline

The Framingham Flyers Varsity Softball team hosted Brookline High for their last home game of the season and didn't disappoint. The starting pitcher who also is a senior struck out the side to start the game, then in her first at bat, scored the first run of the game with a home run opening the floodgates for the Flyers. The score was 3-0 after the first inning and by the 5th inning, the game was so far out of control the game was called on the mercy rule with a final score of 10-0.
Senior pitcher Jess P. had a total of 10 strikeouts and only gave up one hit. If there was a game MVP, there would be no doubt that she would have earned it.
Since it was the Flyers final home game, it was also Senior Day. The fence facing the high school was decorated in blue cups forming Seniors 14 with a heart and the short fence along the 3rd base line had blue and white streamers and white balloons while the fence behind home plate had a sign for each of the seniors.
The Patch and Cummings Photography wish the seniors well as they move on to college.
