Framingham Softball Ranked #9 in MIAA Division 1 North Tourney
Framingham (15-5) will host Waltham (9-11) in a preliminary round MIAA Division 1 North tournament game on Thursday, May 29.
The MIAA Division 1 North softball tournament had to be revised Tuesday, as Framingham's paperwork was not submitted.
Once revised late Monday, the MIAA seeded Framingham #9 and gave the team a preliminary round game on Thursday, May 29.
Framingham, with a record of 15-5, will host Waltham, seeded #24, and with a record of 9-11, for a game at 4 p.m. on Thursday.
The winner will travel to Malden, to take on the Tornadoes, for a 4 p.m. game on May 31. The #8 seeded Malden Tornadoes have a bye in the preliminary round with a record of 15-5.
Of the 24 teams in the Division 1 North MIAA tournament, four teams had a record of 15-5. Two teams received a bye in the preliminary round and two teams - Framingham and Revere - had preliminary round games.
Seeded #1 in the tournament is Masconomet Regional with a record of 18-2.
