Framingham Squirts Win State Championship

The Squirt B team from Framingham defeated Winchester 2-0 to take the Massachusetts Squirt Tier 3 Title on Sunday, March 9.

The Framingham Jr. Flyers Squirt B team won the Massachusetts Squirt Championship Sunday.

The Squirt B team from Framingham defeated Winchester 2-0 to take the Massachusetts Squirt Tier 3 Title.

The boys, ages 9 and 10, played suffocating team defense; and only allowed three goals in the five games they played in this weekend's tournament.

Jr. Flyers on the team are Scott Baia, Tyler Hammond, Kevin Rutowicz, Trey Connolly, Ryan McAllister, Kyle Patriarca, Will Garettson, Tommy Duane, John Halpin, Ryan Dutcher, Andrew Reynolds, John Tully, Nick McGrann, Christian Schneeloch, Daren Palma and Jared Shimelman.

The team is coached by Head Coach Mike Dutcher, who is also an assistant coach with Framingham High School's boys hockey team and a captain with the Framingham Fire Department.

Assistant coaches are Chris Connolly, Steve Patriarca and Kevin Wilder. The team is managed by Sue McGrann.
