Framingham State End Baseball Season with Record of 20-19

The Framingham State University baseball team closed the 2014 season this week with a 5-2 loss at Springfield College in one quarterfinal of the 2014 Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III New England Baseball Championship.

The Framingham State University baseball team closed the 2014 season this week with a 5-2 loss at Springfield College in one quarterfinal of the 2014 Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III New England Baseball Championship.

 Fifth-seeded Framingham State ends the season with a record of 20-19.

Eric Chase (Vernon, Conn.) earned the win on the mound, allowing just one run over six innings of work. Alex Williams (East Hartford, Conn.) pitched two innings of hitless relief and Peter Baranski (Hamden, Conn.) closed it out in the ninth allowing one run.

Senior Matt DiCato of Winthrop the loss for the Rams allowing five runs, two earned, over six innings of work on Thursday, May 7.

Senior Billy Derosier of Shrewsbury drove in the game's first run on a two-out single to right field, scoring Powers.
