Framingham State Names Equipment and Operations Manager

Framingham State University head volleyball coach Richard Casali was named equipment and operation manager for the university's athletic department.

Framingham State University Athletic Director Tom Kelley announced that head volleyball coach Richard Casali will be joining the athletic department on a full time basis as the Equipment and Operations Manger in addition to continuing to serve as the head coach of the volleyball program.   

Casali’s new responsibilities will begin on February 3rd and include creating and managing a program for the maintenance, distribution, cleaning and storage of all athletic equipment in addition to maintaining accurate inventory of all athletic equipment, practice and competitive gear. In addition, he will oversee the preparation and supervise the athletic facilities during home athletic contests.

Casali has been at the helm of the Framingham State volleyball program for the past 10 years guiding the Rams to a Conference regular season title and a Conference Tournament Title in 2011.

Under Casali’s direction the Rams have made nine appearances in the MASCAC Volleyball Tournament including three trips to the finals. Casali has a 185-130 record on the Rams bench and has been named the conference Coach of the Year twice. The 2013 Rams established a new school record for victories after going 26-8 and finishing second in the conference.
