Framingham to Honor Boys Hockey Seniors Wednesday Night

Senior night is scheduled for Wednesday at Loring Arena and a rally will be held the night before.

The Framingham High School boys hockey team is battling for a Bay State Conference title. And Wednesday, fans can show their appreciation for the team's hard work.

On Wednesday at 6:50 p.m. the Flyers take on Newton North on the ice of Loring Arena on senior night. In total, eight seniors will be recognized before the puck drops for their contributions to the program.

Dylan Nichols, Bobby Strine, Kyle Caso, Cullen Smith, Cory Gorovitz, Kevin Parker, Chris McGinty and team captain Al Lynch are the Flyers' senior players.

In addition, FHS Flyers Hockey Fan Night was held Tuesday from 5:30-8 p.m. at CJ's Northside Grill on Edgell Road.

During the evening, patrons who dine in or take out allowed for 15% of their proceeds to be donated to the Framingham varsity hockey team.

Fans who attended the event at CJ's Northside Grill received a set of thundersticks that can be used to make some noise during Wednesday's game.

Framingham is currently 9-7-1 overall, which is behind Braintree's record of 10-4-1. However, the Flyers' Bay State Conference record is 7-3-1, which puts the locals in a first place tie with Braintree with five games left in the season.

Editor's Note: The wording in this article, which was originally posted on Friday, Feb. 7, was tweaked slightly to update the timeline to remind residents that Senior Night is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 12.
