Dennis Charles, of Framingham, was part of Team Hoyt during Monday's 118th Boston Marathon.

This was the final marathon for Dick Hoyt - it was also his 32nd marathon.

Dick and Rick Hoyt are icons along the Boston Marathon route and receive some of the largest applause as they go along the 26.2 miles.

Charles raised more than $2,000 for the Hoyt Foundation.

Also a member of Team Hoyt, for the second year, was Framingham High graduate Dana Krashin. Her mom is Norma Shulman of Framingham.

Krashin raised $2,688 for Team Hoyt in 2014.

She posed with Team Hoyt in Hopkinton before the start of the race and was very excited to catch up with Dick & Rick Hoyt during the trace, said Shulman.

Established in 1989, the Hoyt Foundation aspires to build the individual character, self-confidence and self-esteem of America's disabled young people through inclusion in all facets of daily life; including in family and community activities, especially sports, at home, in schools, and in the workplace.

Each year, Team Hoyt's primary spokespeople, world renowned athletes, Dick and Rick Hoyt, show the world how to do this by speaking before community and professional groups, and by direct participation in many road races, triathlons and other endurance events. The Foundation also provides advice and support to groups and individuals who share this mission
