Proia Throws No-Hitter as Framingham Softball Defeats Waltham 12-0

The Framingham High softball team won its preliminary round in the MIAA Division 1 North tournament easily Thursday afternoon.

The Flyers defeated Waltham 12-0 at home.

Jess Proia threw a no hitter and went 2-for-4 at the plate.

Team members include Proia, Mirisa Sanchez, Alex Gibbons, Jess Wollstenhulme, Taylor Hogan, Merriam, Colleen Myers, Lauren Comerato, Shania Bigler, Philana Winter, Marissa Proia, Leah DiBona, Alex Leombruno, Faith Daigle, Kaitlin Carmen and Jill Jones.

Next up for the Flyers is the Malden Tornadoes, who had an identical 15-5 record as the Flyers for the season. Framingham will travel to Malden tomorrow, May 31, for an opening round tourney game.
