Rams Baseball Suffers Extra Inning Tournament Loss
Framingham State Rams (20-17) slip into the loser's bracket and will face Westfield State University Sunday at Worcester in an elimination game.
The Salem State University baseball team scored the deciding run in the 10th inning on passed ball as the second seed Vikings defeated third seed Framingham State University 4-3 in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament action Saturday afternoon in Salem.
With the win the Vikings (27-14) advance to face top seed Worcester State University Sunday afternoon in the tournament's winner's bracket, while the Rams (20-17) slip into the loser's bracket and will face Westfield State University Sunday at Worcester in an elimination game.
Senior Billy Derosier of Shrewsbury went 2-for-5 for the Rams with a pair of RBI, while classmate Anthony Iafolla of Medfield went 2-for-4 with a double, a homerun, an RBI and scored a pair of runs.

Freshman Mike Andrews of Stoneham went the distance for the Rams suffering his first loss of the season. He went nine innings allowing four runs, three earned, on 11 hits with two strikeouts and four walks.
