Skater Gracie Gold, who held a closed practice at Loring Arena earlier this week, captured first place and the gold medal in the U.S. National Championships Saturday night at the TD Garden in Boston.
After the short program, the teen, who was born in Newton, was in first place. She was the defending 2013 national silver medalist.
