The skills competition had boys age 14 and under compete in lacrosse skills against kids their own age for a chance to advance to the regional skills championships on August 9 at Harvard Stadium,prior to the Boston Cannons home game.
The age group winners were:
- 9-10: Nicholas Bell
- 11-12: Jacob Seletz
- 13-14: Lars Olsen
The boys competed in these three events:
- FASTEST SHOT: Each player had to take 3 shots from a pre-determined marked distance from the goal. The shot that registers the fastest speed on the radar gun determined the score for the skill.
- ACCURACY: Each player had 60 seconds to shoot up to all 10 balls into the net, which is covered with the Accuracy Guard.
- GAUNTLET COURSE: Each player follows a course will cones and then took a shot on goal.
