5. As you can tell I'm back from vacation. While we left Framingham for a while, I seemed to have a Framingham connection every day.

While up in the White Mountains we ran into fellow Framingham families. When we day tripped to Boston we again ran into fellow Framingham families.

Even sitting at Fenway Park, our family encountered several Framingham families. The couple sitting in front of us at Fenway, grew up in Framingham and knew Matt Gedman, a Framingham resident, who was playing third base for the Lowell Spinners at Saturday's Futures at Fenway game.

Gedman, who grew up in Framingham, graduated from Belmont Hill and UMASS Amherst, and still lives in Framingham. (Uploaded are a few photos of him during the game and signing autographs after the game.) Gedman was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 45th round of the 2011 first-year player draft out of the University of Massachusetts.

Unfortunately, the Spinners lost 6-5 Saturday. Gedman was the final out of the game.
